We see a changing stream of residual waste in the future. Waste that, stripped of as many raw materials as possible, still yields the highest efficiency when incinerated. In incineration, we see opportunities for reusing or capturing the CO2 released. We convert the energy we generate into electricity and sustainable heat.
AEB processes residual waste from municipalities and companies. We extract as many valuable raw materials as possible from the waste. What remains we incinerate efficiently and in doing so we supply electricity and heat for a growing number of households and businesses. In this way, AEB plays an important role in the sustainability ambitions of Amsterdam and the municipalities around us.
To succeed in our mission, we continuously work together with partners on a process that is as efficient as possible to process waste streams and allow energy to achieve optimum value. We are always looking for better and more sustainable ways to process waste and generate energy.
